Journal History

REGISTER JOURNAL is a forum of discussion that focuses on language (linguistics and literature) and language teaching studies. It aims at enhancing critical studies on the various actual phenomena from different perspectives. The word "REGISTER" in the name of "REGISTER JOURNAL" is derived from the lexicon "REGISTER," which is well-known for a linguistic variety regarded as appropriate to use in a particular speech situation.(Kortmann 2005: 255f). It was issued for the first time in June 2008 and the name of REGISTER (p-ISSN: 1979-8903 on 24th January 2012) in a printed form. Since 19th November 2015, as a milestone that marks a change from a printed journal and an Electronic or digital Journal, it changed its name to be REGISTER JOURNAL for the E-ISSN Number:2503-040X (Online Media).


REGISTER JOURNAL Accreditation Status

 This journal is published every June and December by Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) Salatiga, Indonesia. Historically, this journal was accredited along with a score of C (57) at the time of printed journal accreditation in 2015 and then when the online era came it was accredited by the Indonesian Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education (RistekDikti) of the Republic of Indonesia in SINTA (Achieving SINTA 2) at 2018 along with this Announcement and E-Certificate of Journal Accreditation

 

 
Then, The journal applied for Journal re-accreditation and was accredited SINTA 2 on April 7, 2022. The recognition was published in Director Decree (SK No. 105/E/KPT/2022), effective until 2025. This journal has been successfully indexed in CLARIVATE ANALYTICS, Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) of Web of Science since June 2019.
