Journal Identity: Millati: Journal of Islamic Studies and Humanities (p-ISSN 2541-3627 | e-ISSN 2540-9964) is a double-blind peer-reviewed academic journal published biannually by the State Islamic University (UIN) Salatiga, Indonesia. First published in 2016, the journal serves as a premier international platform for rigorous empirical and theoretical research in Islamic Studies.

Aims and Scope: Millati: Journal of Islamic Studies and Humanities is a peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to exploring the intersection of Islamic thought and the humanities, with a specialized focus on Southeast Asian contexts and localized Islamic practices. The journal aims to provide a platform for empirical and theoretical research that connects classical Islamic disciplines with contemporary socio-cultural transformations.

Millati prioritizes high-quality manuscripts in the following thematic areas:

  • Social Harmonization and Pluralism: Studies on religious tolerance, interfaith dialogue, conflict resolution, and the dynamics of multi-religious societies.
  • Islamic Socio-Cultural Transformations: Anthropological and sociological analyses of Islamic communities, organizations, and daily behavioral norms in transitional societies.
  • Contextual Islamic Thought: The contemporary application of Qur'an and Hadith interpretation, Islamic philosophy, and political ethics (e.g., integrity-based leadership) rooted in local wisdom and cultural paradigms.

Publication Frequency: Millati is published twice a year, strictly in June and December. Each issue publishes approximately 7 articles.

Open Access Policy: This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. All articles are published under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0).

Peer Review Policy: All submissions undergo a rigorous Double-Blind Peer Review process by at least two independent expert reviewers.
