Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan tingkat kecemasan sosial dan dampaknya terhadap siswa SMA di Kota Malang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan sampel 346 siswa yang dipilih melalui teknik cluster random sampling. Data dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa SMA di Kota Malang mengalami kecemasan sosial dengan kategori sedang. Dampak kecemasan sosial meliputi hambatan sosial, penurunan prestasi akademik, gangguan kesehatan mental, perkembangan sosial dan emosional terhambat, perilaku yang tidak pantas, dan keterbatasan dalam pengembangan keterampilan sosial.
