Authorship and Contributorship

INJECT (Interdisciplinary Journal of Communication) follows the ICMJE/COPE criteria. Every person listed as an author must meet all of the following:

  1. a substantial contribution to the conception or design of the work, or to the acquisition, analysis or interpretation of data;
  2. drafting the article or revising it critically for important intellectual content;
  3. approval of the final version to be published; and
  4. agreement to be accountable for all aspects of the work.

People who contributed but do not meet these criteria (for example technical help, data collection only, funding acquisition only, or general supervision) are acknowledged in the Acknowledgements.

  • Author Contributions. Every article includes an Author Contributions statement (for example using the CRediT taxonomy).
  • Changes to authorship. Authors may not be added, removed or reordered after acceptance. Any change before acceptance needs a written request with reasons, signed by all authors, and the editor's approval.
  • Gift, ghost and guest authorship are research misconduct. AI tools cannot be authors (see the AI Policy).
  • The corresponding author is responsible for communication with the journal and for making sure all co-authors approve the submission and the final version.
