Two Important Announcements Regarding Article Submissions

  1. Temporary Closure of Submissions for Vol. 7 No. 2 (October 2025 Issue)
In light of the exceptionally high volume of submissions received, the Journal of Pragmatics Research has decided to temporarily close the submission portal for the upcoming Vol. 7 No. 2 (October 2025 issue). This measure has been taken to ensure a fair and thorough review process for all manuscripts currently under consideration. Consequently, we will not accept any new submissions until after the publication of the October 2025 issue. While we understand that this may be disappointing for prospective contributors, we kindly request your understanding and patience. We remain committed to fostering high-quality scholarly work and hope to receive your submissions in the next available issue.

  2. Policy on Rejected Manuscripts
We would like to remind authors that, in accordance with our editorial policy, manuscripts that have been formally rejected may not be resubmitted to the Journal of Pragmatics Research. This policy is in place to maintain the integrity and efficiency of our peer review process. Any attempts to resubmit previously rejected work will be automatically disregarded without further review or notification. We strongly encourage authors to revise their work and consider submitting it to other reputable journals in the field of linguistics and pragmatics, where it may be better suited for publication.
