Article Processing Charges (APCs)

Ijtihad: Jurnal Wacana Hukum Islam dan Kemanusiaan does not charge fees for any submission or article processing (APCs) at the submission stage. Authors are not required to pay an Article Submission Fee as part of the submission process (IDR 0.00).

Ijtihad is a peer-reviewed scientific open-access journal. All articles published in Ijtihad are freely accessible to readers worldwide. However, the renewal process, capacity expansion, technical improvements, and daily maintenance of the journal require sustainable funding. To maintain free access for readers and to cover the costs of typesetting, long-term archiving, and journal management, Ijtihad charges authors a symbolic publication fee (participation fee) for manuscripts that successfully pass the peer-review process and are accepted for publication.

If the manuscript is accepted for publication, Ijtihad charges the authors a participation fee of USD 600 + VAT (as applicable under Indonesian regulations). Authors are required to pay the Article Publishing Charges (APCs) as part of the publication process. Please note that this publication fee does not include professional English proofreading services. If proofreading is required or recommended by the Editorial Board, the associated proofreading costs will be borne separately by the authors. Payment instructions will be provided after the authors receive the official acceptance notification via email or through the journal's online submission system.

The waiver policy is not applicable. We regret that the publication participation fee cannot be waived or reduced under any circumstances.
