Peer Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to the Islamic Accounting Journal must comply with the journal's Focus and Scope as well as the Author Guidelines. Submitted manuscripts should demonstrate scientific merit, originality, and relevance to the journal's aims and scope. Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and free from plagiarism or any form of academic misconduct.

To ensure academic integrity, all submitted manuscripts are screened for plagiarism using Turnitin before being sent for peer review. Authors are strongly encouraged to check the similarity of their manuscripts using reliable plagiarism detection software prior to submission. Manuscripts with an unacceptable level of similarity will be rejected or returned to the authors for revision before entering the review process.

The Islamic Accounting Journal applies a Double-Anonymous Peer Review policy. Under this policy, the identities of both the authors and the reviewers are concealed throughout the review process to ensure an objective, impartial, and unbiased evaluation. Authors are therefore required to prepare their manuscripts in a manner that does not reveal their identities, including removing names, affiliations, acknowledgements, and any self-identifying information from the manuscript file.

Each manuscript that passes the initial editorial screening is evaluated by at least two independent expert reviewers with relevant expertise in the subject area. Reviewers assess the manuscript based on its originality, significance, methodological rigor, theoretical contribution, clarity of presentation, ethical standards, and relevance to the journal's scope. Constructive comments and recommendations are provided to assist authors in improving the quality of their manuscripts.

Based on the reviewers' recommendations, the Editorial Board may reach one of the following decisions: Accept, Minor Revision, Major Revision, or Reject. The final decision regarding the acceptance or rejection of a manuscript rests solely with the Editor-in-Chief, taking into account the reviewers' evaluations, the scientific quality of the manuscript, and the journal's editorial standards.

Accepted articles are published according to the journal's publication schedule. The order of publication is determined by the Editor-in-Chief based on the completion of the editorial process, the date of final acceptance, and editorial considerations, including maintaining diversity in authorship and research topics.
