Reading is a culture that must be developed in the current era to improve the quality of human resources. Information literacy is also an important skill that individuals have to be able to access information correctly, solve problems, and play an active role in social life. This research aims to find out the role of the Jakarta Book Party literacy movement in b[1]uilding and improving the reading culture of the community. This research was conducted using a qualitative method with participant observation data collection. The results of this study show that the literacy movement with the Jakarta Book Party program is considered successful in encouraging community involvement in literacy activities even though there are obstacles in its activities such as the lack of clarity in providing information about the detailed location, so that participants have difficulty in finding the location point. However, this literacy movement made participants actively involved in its activities such as interaction and exchange of ideas. Overall, the program was effective in building a reading culture and has the potential to develop further with the right strategy.

Nabilah Putri NurhasanahRully Khairul AnwarAsep Saiful Rohman

In this study, the researcher used a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data collection was obtained through library studies, interviews, and documentation. The Scholarly Communication service at the Library Directorate of the Islamic University of Indonesia (UII) Yogyakarta is one of the services that bridges the academic community related to research activities. This service helps students and lecturers in supporting research activities. The manifestation of these services includes determining research ideas or topics, providing software for reference management, and helping academic communities access information sources as publication media.
Rheza Rheza Ega WinastwanFatimah Azhar Syarif

Digital transformation in librarianship, particularly for librarians as actors in scholarly communication, marks a new era in the governance of digital knowledge products. This transformation presents opportunities for libraries to enhance their operational efficiency through technological integration. In this context, librarians’ digital literacy is a critical competency that supports the success of digital transformation in libraries. This competency extends beyond technological proficiency to include skills in managing and disseminating knowledge products, encompassing cultural heritage, local wisdom, and general knowledge. This study aims to explore the readiness of libraries in facing digital transformation, particularly in ensuring the sustainable accessibility of cultural heritage through digitization. The research employs a qualitative descriptive approach with an interpretative and constructivist perspective. Data collection is conducted through a literature review, while data analysis follows the Miles & Huberman model, comprising data reduction, data display, and verification. The findings indicate that the success of library digital transformation depends on three key aspects: operational agility, customer-centricity, and workforce competencies. Librarians’ digital literacy is a crucial factor in navigating these changes, encompassing technological capabilities, media interpretation, and skills in access, management, innovation, and collaboration. Furthermore, the digitization of cultural heritage has been identified as a priority to ensure broader access to information and the sustainable preservation of cultural assets in a modern format. Thus, librarians’ digital literacy is a determining factor in maintaining the relevance of libraries in the digital era and meeting the evolving information needs of society.
Mukhlis

Libraries are information centers that must always keep up with the times. With the presence of increasingly sophisticated information technology, libraries can also perform cataloging and management automatically. This research aims to provide a deeper understanding of the utilization of artificial intelligence in assisting library management, knowing the positive and negative impacts of its use, as well as data security when using artificial intelligence systems. The research method used is a narrative literature review by analyzing several related journals. The results show that artificial intelligence has many benefits in improving library services, such as catalog automation, circulation, and reference services. However, there are also some risks that must be considered, such as the security of catalog data storage, the need for adequate electrical resources, and the possibility of disruptions to library services if there are problems with the system. This research concludes that the utilization of artificial intelligence in library management needs to be supported by thorough preparation, starting from technological infrastructure, the availability of skilled human resources, to data security policies. Librarians must also continue to develop their competencies in order to optimize the use of technology and provide better service to library users. Thus, libraries can continue to innovate and respond to challenges in the current era of information technology. Therefore, libraries must prepare a mature strategy in implementing artificial intelligence in order to minimize the risks that may occur.
Syaira Aulia AdhanaRully Khairul AnwarSiti Chaerani Djen AmarEvi Nursanti Rukmana

This research discusses identifying data security threats in digital library systems, developing prevention strategies, and evaluating the impact of breaches on user trust. Research focus includes improving network security, data encryption, protection from malware attacks, and staff training regarding information security. This research aims to improve the security and reliability of digital library systems, as well as increase user awareness of the importance of data security. This research uses a literature review method of references related to the topic of digital libraries and data security with a total of seven references in journal form. This research discusses the challenges, strategies, and influence of strategies in maintaining data security in digital libraries. Challenges include accessibility, collection protection, digital skills, and privacy protection. The proposed strategy includes access protection, data encryption, threat monitoring, security awareness training, and incident preparedness. Implementation of this strategy is expected to improve data security, increase user trust, and maintain the relevance of digital libraries in the current digital era. Developing a mature strategy is the main factor in overcoming data security challenges in digital library systems. Threat analysis shows that unauthorized access, malware attacks, identity theft, and sensitive data leaks are the main challenges. To address this, increased access protection, data encryption, threat monitoring and security awareness training are required. Incident prevention strategies, such as firewalls and intrusion detection systems, can reduce the risk of attacks. Data security breaches can reduce user trust, but effective recovery efforts can repair the damage and rebuild user trust.
Billy Arya NugrahaRully Khairul AnwarSiti Chaerani Djen AmarEvi Nursanti Rukmana

https://ejournal.uinsalatiga.ac.id/index.php/pustabiblia/article/view/574

This study aims to determine what factors influence the use of UIN Salatiga library e-resources using the TAM (Technology Acceptance Model) model. The sample used in this research is active students of the Faculty of Economics and Islamic Business (FEBI) UIN Salatiga. The method used in this research is the Structural Equation Model-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS). The results showed that all variables in the TAM model can significantly explain the use of UIN Salatiga library e-resources. However, information literacy does not have a significant effect on the perceived usefulness and usage of UIN Salatiga library e-resources. The results of this study provide useful information, especially for the management of UIN Salatiga Library to continue to socialize regularly with students regarding the services owned by the library, including e-resources, in order to encourage students to be able to use these services to obtain quality reference sources.
M. https://ejournal.uinsalatiga.ac.id/index.php/pustabiblia/article/view/4908

This study explores the concept of wasathiyah librarianship as an Islamic moderation-based model of information management aimed at preventing bibliocide. Employing a descriptive qualitative method through library research, the study draws on primary and secondary sources related to wasathiyah values, librarianship, and bibliocide. The data were analyzed thematically using an interpretive qualitative approach. Findings reveal that implementing the seven pillars of wasathiyah—tawassuth (moderation), i’tidal (justice), tasamuh (tolerance), syura (consultation), islah (reconciliation), qudwah (exemplary behavior), and muwathanah (nationalism)—can foster an inclusive, just, and dialogical librarian paradigm. Librarians who embody these values are positioned to resist censorship, marginalization of information, and monopolization of narratives, thereby supporting a pluralistic and peaceful information ecosystem. The study concludes that wasathiyah librarianship is not only ethically relevant for professional practice but also serves as a strategic approach to safeguarding collective memory against bibliocide. This model should be further developed in Indonesian library policies, especially within religious high educational institutions.
Almer Samantha Hidaya
