The questionnaire measured three variables: School–Parent Collaboration based on Epstein’s model, Family Environment based on Baumrind’s parenting theory, and Student Character based on Lickona and Zubaedi. Data analysis included tests for normality, multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity, and multiple linear regression.</p> <p><strong><em>Results:</em></strong> The results showed that school–parent collaboration had no effect on character education, family environment had no effect on character education. and school–parent collaboration and family environment together had no effect on character education, contributing only 2.4%.</p> <p><strong><em>Theoretical Contribution</em></strong><strong><em>:</em></strong> The theoretical contributions of this study are: 1) supporting Bronfenbrenner’s ecological theory, Vygotsky’s theory of the Zone of Proximal Development (ZPD), and Bandura’s social theory; 2) identifying character values in Islamic education, such as <em>ṣidq</em> (honesty), <em>amānah</em> (responsibility), <em>ṣabr</em> (patience), <em>raḥmah</em> (compassion), discipline, <em>'adl</em> (justice), and solidarity; and 3) proposing character education strategies that include <em>syirkah tarbawiyyah</em> (education with true partnership), <em>mas'ūliyyah musytarakah</em> (spiritual responsibility), <em>uswah ḥasanah</em> (exemplary behavior), <em>tarbiyah raqamiyyah</em> (digital education), and <em>tawāzun tarbawī</em> (balanced education). </p> <p><strong><em>Implication</em></strong> Future research should adopt longitudinal approaches and broader factors.</p> Asriana Kibtiyah Ariga Bahrodin Yusuf Ahmed Muaz Khoirul Umam Hanifuddin Khoirotul Idawati Copyright (c) 2025 A. Idawati https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 2025-10-16 2025-10-16 17 2 161 180 10.18326/mudarrisa.v17i2.4070 Supervisors’ Digital Competence and Its Influence on the Quality of Islamic Education Teachers in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah https://ejournal.uinsalatiga.ac.id/index.php/mudarrisa/article/view/3483 <p><strong><em>Objectives:</em></strong> This research aims to analyze the influence of supervisors’ digital competence on the quality of Islamic education teachers in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah.</p> <p><strong><em>Method: </em></strong>This study employed a quantitative approach with a causal-correlational design. The population consisted of Islamic Religious Education (IRE) supervisors at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah in Central Java, with a sample of 100 individuals. The sample was selected using proportional cluster random sampling. Data were collected using a questionnaire tested for validity and reliability. The data were analyzed using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, scatter plot technique, t-test, F-test, and regression analysis.</p> <p><strong><em>Results: </em></strong>The results showed that supervisors’ digital competence had a significant influence on the quality of Islamic education teachers in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah, with a contribution of 36.2%.</p> <p><strong><em>Theoretical Contribution:</em></strong> This study enriches Islamic education theory by demonstrating that supervision aligns with the principles of <em>al-mas'ūliyyah</em> (professional responsibility), <em>al-amānah</em> (trust and integrity), <em>al-iḥsān</em> (continuous improvement), <em>ash-shūrā</em> (deliberation and collaboration), and <em>at-taqwīm</em> (evaluation and reflection), as well as mastery of technology as a manifestation of the command to <em>iqra’</em> (exploration and development of knowledge). </p> <p><strong><em>Implication:</em></strong> Future research should include additional variables such as school culture, technological support, and teacher motivation to develop a more comprehensive supervision model.</p> Amir Mahmud Supriyoko Mufrod Teguh Mulyo Muhammad Hamid Alwi Copyright (c) 2025 A. Alwi https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 2025-10-16 2025-10-16 17 2 181 197 10.18326/mudarrisa.v17i2.3483 Development of Android-Based TINTA-QU Application for Islamic Education in Elementary School https://ejournal.uinsalatiga.ac.id/index.php/mudarrisa/article/view/4061 <p><strong><em>Objectives:</em></strong> This study aims to develop an interactive and engaging Android application prototype called TINTA-QU (At-Tin, Tajwid, Al-Qur’an Hadits Bersamaku) for learning purposes.</p> <p><strong><em>Method: </em></strong>This study used an R&amp;D approach with the ADDIE model. It was conducted in an elementary school in the Sumedang region with a sample of 23 fourth-grade students selected purposively. Data were collected through validation by media and subject matter experts, as well as student response questionnaires. Analysis was performed using percentage calculations to determine the feasibility of the application.</p> <p><strong><em>Results:</em></strong> The results show that the TINTA-QU application is feasible for use and received positive responses from experts and students. Interactive multimedia features, tajwid content, and character-based Al-Qur'an material increase student motivation and understanding in Islamic Religious Education learning.</p> <p><strong><em>Theoretical Contribution:</em></strong> The results of this study support the application of Multimedia Learning Theory in the context of technology-based Islamic Religious Education and reinforce the ADDIE model in the development of digital media based on Smart Apps Creator (SAC) as a platform for elementary school-level Qur'an learning media.</p> <p><strong><em>Implication:</em></strong> This application has the potential to support independent learning and increase learning motivation. The procedure involves administering a pretest, applying the Pop-up book learning media, and conducting a posttest. The population consists of students at MI Bahrul Ihsan, Indonesia with a sample of 20 students selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected using test instruments in the form of reading comprehension questions. Data analysis includes the normality test, paired t-test, and N-Gain formula.</p> <p><strong><em>Results:</em></strong> The research concludes that the use of Pop-up book learning media is effective in improving the reading comprehension skills, and an N-Gain score of 0.67 in the medium category with 66.67% effectiveness, classified as quite effective.</p> <p><strong><em>Theoretical Contribution:</em></strong> This study supports the concept of holistic development in Islamic education <em>(tarbiyah)</em> by emphasizing active student engagement, reflection <em>(tafakkur)</em>, and deep understanding <em>(tafaqquh)</em>. The media encourages intellectual growth <em>(‘aql)</em> aligning with the goals of <em>ta’l</em><em>ī</em><em>m</em> (instruction) and purification <em>(tazkiyah).</em></p> <p><strong><em>Implication:</em></strong> Improving reading skills in Indonesian Language can use pop-up book learning media. The research subjects consisted of school principals, early childhood and primary school teachers, and parents from two educational institutions in South Kalimantan, Indonesia. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s model.</p> <p><strong><em>Results:</em></strong> The research findings indicate that the Early Childhood Education -Primary School transition program generally changes the perceptions and practices of teachers and parents, shifting the focus from early academic achievement to the holistic development of children, including social-emotional and character aspects.</p> <p><strong><em>Theoretical Contribution:</em></strong> This strengthens the theory of Islamic education, which emphasizes a balance between the spiritual, social, and intellectual aspects of learners. Purposively selected informants included students, tahfizh teachers, parents, and principals. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and document analysis, and analyzed using data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing, with triangulation ensuring credibility and validity.</p> <p><strong><em>Results:</em></strong> The study shows that the Tahfidzul Qur’an program strengthens students’ character particularly discipline, honesty, responsibility, empathy, and love for the Qur’an while reflecting Progressive Islam values such as renewal <em>(tajdid)</em>, rationality, social justice, moderation, inclusivity, and educational technology</p> <p><strong><em>Theoretical Contribution:</em></strong> Theoretically, this research enhances Islamic character education by strengthening a holistic approach that integrates Qur’an memorization with Progressive Islamic values, in line with Thomas Lickona’s framework and Al-Ghazali’s moral education concept.</p> <p><strong><em>Implication:</em></strong> The Qur’an memorization program can be an alternative to build character and instill progressive Islamic values. This study is limited to a single site and a qualitative design, reducing its generalizability.
