https://ejournal.uinsalatiga.ac.id/index.php/mudarrisa/article/view/3329

Background & objectives: Character education in Islamic schools has become increasingly important in response to rising moral challenges, and pesantren-based madrasahs are often seen as unique environments for instilling religious values. This study explores the implementation of religious character education in a pesantren-based madrasah ibtidaiyah, focusing on MI Al Maarif 02 Singosari, Malang.
Method: Using a qualitative case study approach, this research employed semi-structured interviews, participatory observations, and document analysis, with data analyzed thematically following Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña. Informants, including teachers, principals, and students, were selected through purposive sampling based on their involvement in religious character development. The validity of qualitative data using triangulation of sources and methods to ensure data credibility.
Results: The study found that the religious character values promoted at MI Almaarif 02 Singosari, Malang include honesty (shidq), discipline (istiqamah), social care (ta'awun), environmental responsibility (khalifah fil ardh), and love of worship (mahabbah lil ibadah). These values are instilled through a combination of curricular integration, routine religious practices, and community engagement programs.
Contribution of theory: The study contributes to Islamic education theory by supporting Lickona’s framework of character development and Al-Attas’s concept of adab, highlighting the importance of integrating both social and spiritual dimensions in character education.
Limitations & Recommendations: The research also acknowledges the limitations of its scope, as the findings are based on a single madrasah, suggesting the need for further studies to explore diverse educational settings.
Sigit PriatmokoSidqi Aulia RahmanSyarifah Rahmatul InayahRatna EkawatiSiti Salina Binti Mustakim

Background & objectives: This article discusses the management of inclusive education in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI), focusing on strategies and innovations, challenges and solutions, as well as the internalization of Islamic values in its implementation.
Method: This qualitative case study at MI Tarbiyatul Aulad involved the principal and special needs teachers selected through purposive sampling, using planning, implementation, and reporting procedures with data collected via interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis involved data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing.
Results: The findings reveal: 1) five components of inclusive education management, namely initial assessment, curriculum adaptation, provision of special needs teachers, resource room and psychologist services; 2) two main challenges and their solutions in implementing inclusive education management; 3) three strategies for internalizing Islamic values, including the application of noble moral values, inclusive learning methods, and curriculum adjustments based on Islamic principles.
Contribution of theory: The study reinforces the theory of Islamic education management grounded in the principles of tawafuq (harmony), ‘adl (justice), and rahmah (compassion).
Limitations & Recommendations: A noted limitation is the lack of evaluation regarding the effectiveness and long-term impact of each component, suggesting the need for further research.

Syaefudin AchmadWan Alawee Samaeng

https://ejournal.uinsalatiga.ac.id/index.php/mudarrisa/article/view/3127

Background & objectives: Bullying in schools remains a significant concern, manifesting in various forms, including physical aggression, verbal abuse, and social exclusion. This study investigates the effectiveness of traditional games in reducing bullying behavior among students at MIN 1 Makassar.
Method: Using a quasi-experimental One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design, 60 students were selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a questionnaire and analyzed using paired sample t-tests to determine statistical significance.
Results: The findings of this study are: 1) bullying practices before the traditional game intervention were in three categories, namely very often 64%, frequent category 17%, never reaching 20%; 2) bullying practices after the traditional game intervention were in three categories, namely very often 24%, frequent category 9%, never reaching 67%; 3) the results of the statistical test obtained t = 15.03, p = 0.032, thus proving that traditional games have a significant influence on bullying behavior.
Contribution of theory: Theoretically, the results of this study have developed a theory of Islamic education for the instillation of the values of tasamuh, ta'awun, and ihtiram that support character education. The integration of traditional games in school activities not only enhances social skills but also reinforces moral and ethical behavior. This study highlights the importance of incorporating culturally relevant educational tools to address bullying and promote a harmonious school environment.
Limitations & Recommendations: Future research should explore long-term impacts and scalability in different educational settings to validate these findings further.
Ashar AsharAbdul WahidSyarifah Nur FajrinWahyullah AlannasirMaria Teresa M. https://ejournal.uinsalatiga.ac.id/index.php/mudarrisa/article/view/3612

Objectives: This study aimed to analyze the implementation of School Operational Assistance (Bantuan Operasional Sekolah, BOS) fund management in improving the quality of education at madrasah ibtidaiyah (Islamic elementary schools in Indonesia), and to identify the challenges and solutions in its implementation.
Method: This qualitative descriptive study was conducted at MIN 1 Bandung City. The research subjects included the Principal of Madrasah as a key informant, treasurer, and teacher using the snowball sampling technique. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, with source triangulation to ensure data validity. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing based on cross-verification from various sources.
Results: The management of BOS funds at MIN 1 Kota Bandung is conducted through structured planning aligned with the National Education Standards, emphasizing efficiency, transparency, and stakeholder collaboration. Supervision involves school committees and internal auditors to ensure accountability. This management supports educational quality through academic programs, facility improvements, and teacher development. Despite challenges like limited budgets and strict regulations, they were addressed with strategic planning and alternative funding.
Contribution of theory: The study also highlights Islamic values such as amanah (trustworthiness), mas'uliyyah (responsibility), shiddiq (honesty), tabligh (transparency), and itqan (professionalism), which reinforce integrity in financial practices. Findings support the Shariah-based education finance model that prioritizes planning, transparency, and accountability.
Recommendations: However, since the study focused on one madrasah, broader research across different regions is recommended to validate and generalize the results.
Ara HidayatMuhamad Luqman NuryanaAmanah Amnun ZulfaAsya Dwina Luthfia
