Diversity in Indonesia is prominently displayed on the island of Lombok, particularly in the village of Bayan, North Lombok Regency. This research aims to provide deeper insights into how the traditional practice of Nyunatan (circumcision) among the indigenous people of Bayan, Lombok, can inspire religious and cultural education. This research employs a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data collection involved observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis followed an interactive analysis model by Miles and Huberman, encompassing data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that within the tradition of Nyunatan, the indigenous community of Bayan still adheres to traditional methods, utilizing tools like Bango-bango and Ladik, along with traditional herbal treatment, Talas. Furthermore, the Nyunatan tradition embodies many religious values, including beliefs, purity, discipline, exemplariness, and social concern. Each of these values inherent in the Nyunatan tradition can serve as a source of learning for religious and cultural education, particularly in efforts to preserve these values among the younger generation.

Zulkifli Zulkifli, Deviana Mayasari, Alihardi Winata Copyright (c) 2024 INFERENSI: Jurnal Penelitian Sosial Keagamaan https://ejournal.uinsalatiga.ac.id/index.php/inferensi/article/view/968 Mon, 01 Jul 2024 00:00:00 +0000 Breaking the Barriers of Zakat Payment in Zakat Institutions: An Analysis of Muslim`s Reluctance https://ejournal.uinsalatiga.ac.id/index.php/inferensi/article/view/1646
This study aims to comprehensively understand the factors that shape reluctance toward zakat payment in zakat institutions among Muslims, addressing a significant research gap. To achieve this, the study identifies and addresses barriers hindering zakat payment in these institutions. Employing a modified TPB (Theory of Planned Behavior) framework tailored to the context of reluctance, the study employs SmartPLS (v. 4.0.8.9) software for analysis, based on 303 online survey responses. The study reveals the impactful influence of negative attitude, low subjective norms, and low confidence on Muslim`s reluctance to pay zakat in zakat institutions, while the absence of proper socialization does not exhibit a similar effect. Moreover, the research validates the impact of low confidence and weak intention on Muslim`s reluctance to pay zakat. The mediating role of weak intention in the relationship between negative attitude, low subjective norms, and low confidence level, shapes Muslim`s reluctance to pay zakat. The findings highlight the need for targeted interventions, encompassing educational campaigns, community engagement, and self-development initiatives, to foster positive attitudes and confidence, thereby enhancing zakat compliance.
Syaparuddin Razak, Jumriani Raking, Anita Rahmawati Copyright (c) 2024 INFERENSI: Jurnal Penelitian Sosial Keagamaan https://ejournal.uinsalatiga.ac.id/index.php/inferensi/article/view/1646 Mon, 01 Jul 2024 00:00:00 +0000 Binding Social Capital: Study of Bahrul Ulum Barokah Sejahtera Micro Waqf Bank Customers https://ejournal.uinsalatiga.ac.id/index.php/inferensi/article/view/887
This study examines the social capital that ties Bahrul Ulum Barokah Sejahtera Micro Waqf Bank (Bank Wakaf Mikro, BWM) borrowers together. The effective repayment of money lent by BWM clients was the impetus for this study. Refunds were delayed during the COVID-19 outbreak because Santri students)—the primary source of income for small and medium company owners near Islamic boarding schools—were sent home by official guidelines. When students returned to study at pesantren during the New Normal period, pesantren leader imposed limitations on small- and micro-business owners' conduct, raising the risk of loan default. However, this missed payment did not happen, and even 80% of the money in bankruptcy has been recovered. This condition motivates researchers to investigate the many conditions that may exist further. This study employs a mixed method sequential methodology by distributing questionnaires to 95 respondents using random sampling and interviews with seven informants selected purposely. This study applies Robert D. Putnam's social capital binding theory, enhances the analysis, and examines this social capital by finding networks, norms, and trust among BWM clients. According to the findings of this study, bridging social capital is the factor consumers depend on the most to keep up with their repayment responsibilities to BWM. Geographic homogeneity, education, income, and religion are all essential factors in forming binding social capital to return loan funds.
Titi Fitrianita Copyright (c) 2024 INFERENSI: Jurnal Penelitian Sosial Keagamaan https://ejournal.uinsalatiga.ac.id/index.php/inferensi/article/view/887 Mon, 01 Jul 2024 00:00:00 +0000 Do Muslim Investors Consider Sharia literacy in Their Behavior When Trading Stocks? Experiences of Indonesian Stock Investors https://ejournal.uinsalatiga.ac.id/index.php/inferensi/article/view/2201
The purpose of this study is to explain how the economic behavior of the Indonesian Muslim community in stock transactions influenced by their understanding of sharia. This research uses the Theory of Planned Behavior with exogenous variables being attitude, subjective norm, and perceived behavior control as predictors of intention as the endogenous variable. The ethical domain in this study is indicated by the presence of sharia literacy as a consideration in economic behavior. This research uses a quantitative approach with primary data obtained by distributing questionnaires to respondents who are sharia stock investors in Indonesia. The number of valid questionnaires amounted to 499. The data were processed using Partial Least Squares (PLS) with SmartPLS software. The results of this study show that each of the variables of attitude, subjective norm, and perceived behavior control has a significant positive effect on the intention to invest in sharia stocks. Sharia literacy is proven to moderate the influence of attitude on behavioral intention, but this does not occur in the variables of subjective norm and perceived behavior control.
Helmi Haris, Frank Aligarh Copyright (c) 2024 INFERENSI: Jurnal Penelitian Sosial Keagamaan https://ejournal.uinsalatiga.ac.id/index.php/inferensi/article/view/2201 Mon, 01 Jul 2024 00:00:00 +0000 The Implementation of Zakat Distribution by BAZNAS of Jambi City https://ejournal.uinsalatiga.ac.id/index.php/inferensi/article/view/2360
Zakat, a pillar of Islam, serves as a crucial wealth distribution mechanism aimed at reducing socio-economic inequalities. With Indonesia`s vast Muslim population, the potential of zakat is significant, yet its impact relies heavily on effective management and distribution. This study explores the implementation of zakat distribution by BAZNAS of Jambi City, focusing on its processes, effectiveness, challenges, and proposed solutions. This research utilizes a qualitative case study approach, involving BAZNAS administrators, field officers, and zakat recipients (mustahik) to gain insights into the zakat distribution in Jambi City. The findings reveal that BAZNAS Jambi City has developed a structured zakat distribution system, encompassing mustahik data collection, verification, and fund allocation. The BAZNAS Jambi City categorizes zakat distribution into consumptive, productive, and special programs, each with specific targets. However, challenges such as limited human resources, budget constraints, and a lack of continuous assistance in productive zakat programs were identified, impacting the long-term benefits for mustahik. Despite these challenges, BAZNAS Jambi City has made efforts to improve the distribution process, including the creation of Zakat Collection Units and seeking the issuance of local regulations to ensure consistent zakat collection. The study concludes that while BAZNAS Jambi City`s zakat distribution has made strides in improving community welfare, there is a need for enhanced mentoring and innovation to maximize the impact of productive zakat programs. The research provides valuable recommendations for BAZNAS and other regions to refine their zakat distribution strategies, ultimately contributing to poverty alleviation and economic empowerment.
Novia Putri Handayani, Addiarrahman, Hilmi Copyright (c) 2024 INFERENSI: Jurnal Penelitian Sosial Keagamaan https://ejournal.uinsalatiga.ac.id/index.php/inferensi/article/view/2360 Tue, 08 Oct 2024 00:00:00 +0000 Impulsive Buying Behavior Towards Livestream Shopping through S-O-R Framework: An Islamic Economic Perspective (Case Study of the Central Java Muslim Community) https://ejournal.uinsalatiga.ac.id/index.php/inferensi/article/view/330
This study aims to analyze the factors that cause impulsive buying behavior towards livestream shopping through the Stimulus-Organism-Response (S-O-R) framework.
