This study aims to describe the interest of the younger generation in Kedunglegok Village, Kemangkon District, Purbalingga Regency in the agricultural sector and the factors that influence it. The method used is quantitative through a questionnaire to 60 respondents (16.2% of the total population of farmers and planters). The results showed that 66.7% of respondents were very interested in becoming farmers and 50% were interested in entrepreneurship in the agricultural sector. However, there were doubts regarding the economic prospects and the image of agriculture which was still considered difficult and less prestigious by a small number of respondents. The results of the interviews reinforced the findings that agricultural education, access to capital, technology-based training, and distribution support are important factors in attracting the interest of the younger generation. This study emphasizes the need for an integrated development strategy to make agriculture an attractive career choice for the younger generation.
